Meet the Owners
Phil & Halina
Two years ago, we made the transition to a lifestyle closer to nature, near Stroud on the beautiful NSW Mid Coast. Beekeeping and land regeneration are the moral compass that guides us here at Carramar Homestead. Our vision is to create a sustainable lifestyle and food system that nourishes both the land and the people it feeds, and we hope to share our products, knowledge and inspiration with you along the way.
Phil first learnt the art of beekeeping in New Zealand while practising permaculture. That experience taught him to see bees as part of a whole living system, where healthy soil, diverse plantings and thriving hives all support one another. It's a philosophy we bring to every corner of the homestead.
Halina grew up in Tasmania. She believes in building a business that is sustainable and works in harmony with the land and nature. Carramar is her way of putting that into practice: growing food, keeping bees and creating products that respect the environment they come from. She brings a jeweller's precision and craftsmanship to everything we produce.
Our approach
We practise ethical beekeeping and never use synthetic miticides in our hive care. Our raw honey is cold-extracted to protect the natural enzymes, rich flavour and nutrients that make honey so special. Alongside our honey, we craft infused and creamed honey, honeycomb, beeswax wraps and gift packs, and we offer nucleus and full colonies for fellow beekeepers.
Everything we produce comes straight from our hives to your home.
